Happy 20th, Meagan!!!! Love, Mama

It was 20 years ago on July 11th, 1990 at 1134am on a Tuesday that I gave birth by C-section to a beautiful baby girl. My Mama wanted to go with me into the delivery/surgery room so bad but they would only let my husband be in there with me. It just about broke my Mama's heart and mine too that she couldn't be with me. If I had known that in a couple of years that I would be divorced, I would have preferred her in there with me. The next thing I knew they gave me a great big baby to hold. If I had gone to my due date she would have been well over 10 POUNDS as it was she was only 9 lbs 8 ozs. Glad I didn't have to push her out! My OB/GYN said it wasn't even an option. My hips weren't wide enough for natural delivery. Could have fooled me!
It was love at first sight for both of us and always will be! She looked up at me and I could see her love for me even when she was fresh out of the womb. My Mama told me that also. Meagan was my miracle baby as I had 2 miscarriages years before.
Today we celebrated her 20th birthday at Chili's with a big table full of friends, hers and mine. We had a great time and LOTS of laughs!!!
Happy Birthday, Meagan Michelle!! Mama loves you very much!

Hope you had the most marvellous day Meagan - you have a great mom! And Becky, so sorry about Blitz - so sad when they have to leave us, such special creatures.

Happy Birthday to Michelle! Agent Awesome was 9lbs, 15 and a HALF oz. God know how, but she came out the usual way. Now she's writing funny songs...Thanks so much for your sweet comments for the Foo. She is doing so much better now, and I think we may hav esaved the eye. At least there is no infection or pain. She is getting around just fine, although she was cocking her head to the side the 1st few days!

A belated happy birthday to your daughter. I didn't have babies that big, but my poor daughter had a baby almost 10 lbs and another just shy of 11 pounds! Mine were a nice 7 and 8 pounds LOL!

Chili's is my son's favorite place to eat. Sadly, the one here on Cape Cod closed and we haven't been for a while.

Here's to the next 20!!!

take care,
Dawn

I'm so sorry to be late "delivering" birthday wishes but I know it was a happy one with a mama like you. We're not very far behind you with Bo turning 20 this coming April. It doesn't seem possible. She was a c-sect baby, too, after a miscarriage and four years of infertility. Can you still feel that moment, Becky, when we got those LONG WAITED for BABIES? Wasn't it the BEST? My mama was a little different than yours, though. Mine said, "Sure wish you could've had her the REAL way." I told her they coulda pulled her out through my nose for all I cared. I just wanted my BABY!
